As part of a Pre-kindergarten education project, I helped design and construct two outdoor decks that would serve as an outdoor classroom.

Working closely with a mentor, I became familiar with the process of ensuring the decks were well-positioned on level land, held up by a durable foundation, and safe for children’s use. Additionally, I developed experience in working with this mentor during unfortunate circumstances, unexpected design changes, and efficiently using power tools synchronously.
